Viapoint Corporation
-- Viapoint Organizes Microsoft Office Users with
-- New Approach to Desktop Search
New desktop software finds, organizes and continuously
delivers email, desktop information, web and news content
you want to one place; Free trial Available at www.viapoint.com
BURLINGTON, MA - October 18, 2004 - Viapoint Corporation
today announced the availability of Viapoint, the first
software that finds, organizes and delivers e-mails,
files, web and news content and automatically categorizes
them by company, contact, groupings, projects and date
range. Leading a new category of desktop search products,
Viapoint uses the familiar look and feel of Windows
Explorer, helping users spend less time searching and
more time working in an organized and intuitive way.
Viapoint also works in the background to continuously
organize information and build a user repository that
is quick, responsive and intuitive.
"We built Viapoint to give users control over
the deluge of email, office documents, web and news
content they work with every day. Now, users can know
exactly where to go to review the various elements of
conversations from today, yesterday or last year,"
said Aaron Abend, president of Viapoint. "I think
we offer a simpler way for people to work. A powerful
search tool is great, but who wants to spend all day
searching for stuff? Viapoint's unique ability to automatically
organize and categorize information puts all of a user's
information in the right place - in context - helping
users find what they need, when they need it."
With patent-pending technology built atop Microsoft's
.NET framework, Viapoint goes beyond simple desktop
search tools to help make Microsoft Office users much
more productive. Viapoint's database automatically maintains
and updates itself even when Viapoint is not running.
Product Features: Viapoint works with all of
the common pieces of information and content Microsoft
Office users struggle to organize every day, including:

I'd be crushed under a mountain of paper," said
