Viapoint Adds Yahoo! Desktop Search support
Virtual folders and tagging now available to Yahoo! consumers

BURLINGTON , MA December 20, 2005

Viapoint Corporation, a pioneer in personal knowledge management software, today announced the availability of support for tagging desktop content through Yahoo! Desktop Search. The free Viapoint download is available at www.viapoint.com .

"We made our software work with YDS to help consumers become more organized by extending the powerful tools available in Yahoo! Desktop Search to include tagging private desktop resources,” said Aaron Abend, CEO of Viapoint .

The integration allows Yahoo! Desktop Search users to build additional context for searching and to extend available post-search actions by saving items and groups of contacts found in searches into virtual folders for annotation and follow-up. The new Viapoint release also contains additional capabilities to the Viapoint Smart Organizer including a synchronized search feature that simplifies searches by simultaneously loading a folder of tagged items and a desktop search when a virtual folder is selected.

The free version of Viapoint allows unlimited use of Viapoint's full feature set, allowing users to work more organized with files, RSS feeds and web links, but requires paid adapters for connectivity to popular email programs and CRM applications.
