Aaron Abend, President

Aaron Abend is a software entrepreneur with over 20 years in the business. After earning his MBA from Columbia University and spending time on Wall Street, he decided to focus his career on the software business and joined Metaphor Computer Systems, a well funded Silicon Valley startup that created one of the earliest client/server systems. After Metaphor he worked briefly for Oracle Corporation and founded CallBack Software in 1985 to become one of the earliest entrants in the CRM segment.

Aaron’s vision for CRM led CallBack to pioneer many key elements of CRM: remote synchronization (introduced in 1987), opportunity management (introduced in 1989), and telemarketing management (introduced in 1991). Aaron earned a BA at Middlebury College and an MBA from Columbia University.

Shelley Orenstein, Vice President Sales

Shelley Orenstein is a seasoned operations manager. She took over as CEO of CallBack Software in 1999, growing sales revenues by 50% and leading it to 3 of its most profitable years. Prior to taking over as CEO, Shelley had been Vice President of Sales. She closed 80% of the companies sales between 1995 and 1999, and spearheaded the company’s entry into the Energy Market, where CallBack enjoyed its greatest success. She has also been highly effective at turning sales into long term revenue producers, and has been able to effectively leverage her contacts as they have moved to become new customers at new companies.

Prior to joining CallBack, Shelley held sales and marketing positions at the laptop computer pioneer, Grid, and at CBS Records. Shelley earned a BA in Economics at the University of Vermont.

Christopher Herrick, Chief Technology Officer

Chris Herrick is an expert in software architecture and development. He became lead developer of the CallBack product in 1999, and led a team of 3 developers in the architecture and development of CallBack’s Palm Pilot products. Chris has architected the ViaPoint product from the ground up.

Chris earned a BA in Computer Science at Vassar College.

Heath Young, Vice President Operations

Heath has been involved in all phases of the software development cycle including application design, development, Q/A, implementation, training, documentation and support. He has been involved in numerous client-server development and implementation projects, systems integration projects and web application development. Heath has designed and built adapters that link ViaPoint to databases from Act! and other CRM vendors.

Heath earned a BA in Physics at Vassar College.
